Liechtenstein (officially the Principality of Liechtenstein) is a landlocked country in the Rhine Valley, in the Alps, in Central Europe. It shares borders with Switzerland to the west and south, and Austria to the east and north.
Liechtenstein is a unitary state with a single-tier system of local government – municipalities.
