Georgia Unitary state
Georgia is a unitary state on the Black Sea coast in the Caucasus, spanning both Eastern Europe and Asia. Culturally, historically and politically it is considered a part of Europe. The country’s population – excluding Abkhazia and South Ossetia, which seceded in 1991 – is 4,400,000 (2017).
The country is subdivided into municipalities (municipaliteti) and self-governing cities (tvitmmartveli qalaqebi).
